Chapter One - The Dream

Matt Wu, an 11 year old boy, woke up with a startled frightening look. His face was crooked and he said, “What a dream. It was a nightmare!” It was 2:40 in the morning, and Matt decided he had to fall asleep. He began to dream again.

He was running to the mansion with eerie windows. Something was right behind him. Matt turned and saw a pink-blue ghost heading towards him! Matt ran for his life towards the mansion and opened the door. He closed the door behind him. It was dark inside and all he could see was a pink dot in the middle of the room. The pink dot suddenly had 2 black dots in the middle. An ear formed, with a nose and a crooked mouth. The monster had humongous arms and a crooked smile. He floated towards Matt and said, “Aaaaeeemm gooieeng tooooo kill youuuuu”

Matt screamed and ran around the room. A small door barely visible was seen. Matt opened the door and closed it shut. It was pitch dark, darker than the new moon night. Suddenly, he was in his friend Blake’s room.

A small creature darted towards Matt and then onto the sleeping Blake. The creature transformed into the pink-blue monster and swiped Blake.

Matt re-appeared outside the mansion. The monster carried Blake inside the mansion.

Matt woke up and screamed. He glanced around. It was 5:45. Matt didn’t want to sleep.

He pictured Blake along with the monster kidnapping him. It was just a dream he thought. Just a dream, Blake is not kidnapped.

The telephone rang. Matt wondered who was calling so early, as he picked up the phone.

“Hello?”
“Is this Matt?” A familiar voice said
“Mrs. Tecks?”
“Hi. Umm…. There’s a situation at our house.”
“What?”
“Matt, Blake is missing! I already called the cops,” Mrs. Tecks cried.
“Hang on, I’m on my way!”
